The Diwali celebration at Sri Chaitanya Techno School was a grand event filled with color, joy, and a deep sense of tradition. The event aimed to bring parents and faculty together to celebrate one of India’s most cherished festivals and to promote cultural appreciation and unity among all.
The event was honored by the esteemed presence of our Respected Principal ma’am,Ms Padma Bandari and Chief Guest, Mrs. Savita Kapoor, MLA of Dehradun. Mrs. Kapoor shared her insights on the significance of Diwali, emphasizing values like kindness, unity, and the triumph of light over darkness. She encouraged students to celebrate responsibly and highlighted the importance of eco-friendly practices. Her warm words and gracious presence made the celebration truly memorable.
Our Principal, Ms Padma Bandari , played an integral role in making the Diwali celebration a memorable experience for everyone. In her address, she praised the Parents for their hard work, creativity, and enthusiasm, commending each activity for reflecting the spirit of Diwali. She highlighted how events like these help parents appreciate India’s rich cultural heritage and build a sense of unity and respect among everyone.
The celebration included various engaging activities that allowed students to showcase their talents and immerse themselves in the spirit of the festival:
1. Diya Making Competition: Students crafted beautiful diyas with vibrant colors, creative designs, and intricate detailing. The diya-making competition encouraged students to express their creativity and understand the importance of light in Diwali celebrations. The colorful display of handmade diyas brought a festive glow to the event.
2. Dance Competition: Students performed traditional and contemporary dance routines that captivated the audience. Each performance was met with enthusiastic applause as students showcased their skills, synchronized movements, and expressions. The dance competition highlighted the joy and energy associated with Diwali celebrations.
3. Traditional Dress Parade: Parents came dressed in traditional attire representing various regions of India. The vibrant colors and elaborate designs of their clothes added to the festive ambiance, celebrating the diversity and unity of Indian culture. The Ramp walk was a beautiful showcase of Indian heritage and tradition.
4. Diwali Dishes and Sweets: The event concluded with a display and tasting of traditional Diwali sweets and snacks. Students and teachers enjoyed delicacies like truffle pudding, peda, oreo cake, gulab jamun, main course including rajma, which added a sweet note to the celebration. The food stall was a favorite among all, highlighting the culinary traditions of Diwali.
